Pricing

Copper: twenty seven cents per square inch.
Steel: twenty two cents per square inch.
Allison Handcrafted custom copper shutters in a 36" x 36"  window space cost approximately $350.00.

Measurements: 

Accurate measurements are crucial for your order! Use a steel carpenters measuring tape.   Measure, and re-measure, the height and width of the space to be filled in inches.  (Please document measurements within a 1/16 th of an inch)
 
Shutters Styles:

•  full length: covers from top to bottom of the entire window space
•  cafe style: covers only the bottom half of the window space
•  dutch style: covers entire window space with top and bottom shutter sections opening independently. 

  
Materials:

Metal panels are usually copper or steel.  Brass can be special ordered.

Wood varieties available: yellow pine, white pine, basswood, red oak, poplar, cedar, walnut. 

Wood Finishes

A variety of wood and wood treatments can be used for the frames. 
 The beauty of some woods is naturally enhanced using linseed oil or a clear coat of polyurethane.  Or, you may prefer a particular color and brand of stain or paint.  

Metal Finishes

Copper Finishes:  Oxidization causes copper to naturally become discolored over time.  Chemical solutions can be applied to create the greenish patina or a darkened antique look.  Or, a coat of clear polyurethane retards the oxidization process and helps copper retain its "new penny" look.
Steel Finishes: Galvanized or untreated (rustic).

   There are endless possibilities!
We will create a custom design that compliments your decor or motif. (custom design development may increase delivery time and overall cost)

How do I order?
Please call us or e-mail us when you are ready to place an order. This will assure us that all questions have been answered before we begin building your order.
A 50% deposit is required to begin building your order after final approval, with the balance and shipping cost due prior to shipment.

Can we customize?
Yes. Everything we build is made to order. This includes designs, dimensions, materials, finishes. In the customization process we collaborate with buyers, interior designers, architects to make the right decisions for you.  All custom designs are pre-approved before production.  

How much is shipping? 
Items will be packaged and shipped at 7.5% of your order.  

Do you take credit cards?
No - not at this time. Payments can be made by check or money order to the address at the bottom of this page.

Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes, we do on construction flaws and shipping damages. Please check all merchandise before signing for shipment or discarding packaging materials. (Allison Handcrafted will not be responsible for any damages not noted at time of delivery).  If your order has been damaged during shipping, Allison Handcrafted will replace it at no additional cost.

Allison Handcrafted will not be responsible for minor cracks (known as checks), wood knots and variations in color are natural characteristics found in wood that cannot be completely avoided.  Also, we do not accept responsibility for customer errors in measurements.  

What about returns and cancellations?
Because all items are custom made to order, all sales are final and no deposit refunds will be given after the final construction approval has been given and building the order has begun.
